Halloween Festivities in Camden County
Halloween is one of the most popular holidays of the year. It's a fun time for people of all ages to dress up and have fun! Whether it's trick or treating or an adult party - there are a TON of local events happening in Camden County. As a resident of the county, this is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the festive events. Take a look below to check out some of the upcoming events surrouding this festival holiday.
Hy-Vee Parking Lot
Come join us in our Hy-Vee Parking lot for our annual Hy-Vee Hollow Trick-or-treat event! This event will be held on Thursday October 25th from 4-7 PM in the Hy-Vee Parking Lot. Don't forget your costumes! Admission for this event is $2.00 per child. All of the proceeds will be donated to two local organizations - The Dream Factory and Camp Wonderland. Refreshments will be provided for the kids.
Dogwood Animal Shelter
Save the date for Dogwood Animal Shelter’s 8th annual HOWL-O-WEEN FESTIVAL on 10/27 from 11am-3pm! FREE TO ATTEND! Pet costume contests, tricks for treats, pet parade, alumni parade and other pet activities! Kids’crafts and games! Crafters! Meet Sparkie da Clown and Captain Scalawag! Music by DJ Gary Phillips! Lunches available for purchase! Quilt raffle! Fun for the whole family – both two-legged and four-legged!

~Pumpkin Decorating Contest: Drop off your decorated pumpkin between 2 pm and 4 pm at Luby’s Stage. Winners announced after the costume contest.
~Pie Eating Contest following the Costume Contest.
~Teen Night at the Lake Ozark Live Stage from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
H.Toad's Bar and Grill at Camden on the Lake
Join us for a Halloween Party and Costume Contest at The Horny Toad - no cover! Prizes and Drink Specials! DJ Lou Diesel will be live keeping the party going all night long - from 8pm-1am.
A safe, free, family-friendly trick or treating experience will be held at Splatz Paintball from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Wednesday, October 31st. Music, contests, fun and games will be held both indoors and outdoors.
While you are out and about you may notice some political signs. Don't forget to make plans to come out and vote on November 6th! It's important to exercise your right as an American. This is your chance to vote for a proven leader you can trust for Camden County Presiding Commissioner. As you make your ways to the poll, remember to vote for Greg Hasty for a trusted professional to represent your county!

Looking for a classy and fun Halloween Event at the Lake? You’re invited! Join us Tuesday, October 30, 6-8 PM in The Hearth Room at Old Kinderhook at Lake of the Ozarks in Camdenton, MO for a great autumn evening of live music, cocktails or coffee with friends. And for some Halloween fun, we’re challenging you to dress up for the occasion. Use your imagination – have some fun, and there will be a photographer on hand for free photos. There will even be a backdrop and lighting (with some fun props) to help capture the moment. Free – no admission charge! Please plan to join us for an evening of beautiful instrumental piano featuring classic pop, jazz, rock, and country hits, as well as a few Halloween favorites by pianist Michael Knapp. As an added bonus, Michael is featuring a special brand new instrumental track debut at the party, “Silhouette of the Soul.” Be sure to come and be a part of the fun! Calling all ghosts, princesses, superheroes & witches... Join us for an evening of trick-or-treating! Wear your best costumes and join in the fun. Start the evening off by visiting the host tent, located near the main entrance at the stoplight. It is there where you will find a list and map of participating retailers, candy for the kiddos and a goody bag for the parents. The fun kicks off at 4:30pm, walk the center for candy and treats (utilizing the map and list of participating retailers) until 6:30pm. We will see you soon! Currently, there are over 25 retailers participating.
