The Presiding Commissioner of Camden County must be willing to make a stand for the right thing, even when it is unpopular. As Presiding Commissioner, Greg Hasty has delivered on every promise he has made when he ran for office 4 years ago. He has worked to build a close relationship with the other commissioners. We now have a Camden County Commission that works together as a team to make improvements to the operation of government. We’ve taken a hard look at how we do “the business of government”, to make improvements and enhance the quality of life of the citizens. So what have we accomplished for you? As promised 4 years ago, we have new FEMA flood maps for Camden County. These new maps remove thousands of homes from the flood hazard area. To be an effective commissioner, you really need to have a comprehensive knowledge of Camden County and its residents to make sound decisions. With over 40 years as a surveyor in Camden County, I know this county end to end. You also have to be willing to make a stand for the right thing, even when it is unpopular. He feels like he has made great progress so far and wants to keep the ball rolling for the betterment of the county. As your presiding Camden County Commissioner , Greg Hasty takes pride his the ability to work to improve our great community. The Lake of the Ozarks and Camden County hold a dear place in his heart - since Greg was born and raised in the area. His goal as your commissioner is the help make this area the best it can be! To learn a little bit more about him, take a look below! Greg’s family was involved in the founding of The United State of America. His 6th Great Grandfather was “present at the siege of Little York in the taking of Lord Cornwallis”. Greg’s family moved West after the American Revolution and settled in the lake area in the 1820’s. His grandmother was born near Old Sagrada, in Camden County in 1906. Greg attended grade school in Richland, Missouri, and graduated from high school in Eldon, Missouri. He decided on a career in surveying before grad...
