What Changes the Commission Has Achieved

Image
The Presiding Commissioner of Camden County must be willing to make a stand for the right thing, even when it is unpopular. As Presiding Commissioner, Greg Hasty has delivered on every promise he has made when he ran for office 4 years ago. He has worked to build a close relationship with the other commissioners. We now have a Camden County Commission that works together as a team to make improvements to the operation of government. We’ve taken a hard look at how we do “the business of government”, to make improvements and enhance the quality of life of the citizens. So what have we accomplished for you? As promised 4 years ago, we have new FEMA flood maps for Camden County. These new maps remove thousands of homes from the flood hazard area. This saves these homeowners millions of dollars in insurance premiums every year. As promised 4 years ago, The Camden County Commission has authorized a complete rewrite of the ULC of Camden County. We’re fixing many long-standing problems,

Camden County Credit Rating Raised!

On behalf of the Camden County Commission, I am pleased to announce that Standard and Poor’s has “raised our credit rating from “AA-“to “AA” while affirming the stable outlook.” The rating letter, dated February 23, 2018, confirms the improvement in the counties financial status that was asserted a few months ago when we refinanced county bonds for major structural repairs to the Camden County Justice Center. Take a look below to view a recent press release regarding the improved credit rating of the county: "S&P Global Ratings has reviewed the rating of the above-listed obligations. Based on our review, we have raised our credit rating from "AA-" to "AA" while affirming the stable outlook. A copy of the rationale supporting the rating and outlook is enclosed." This is the result of a lot of hard work by the entire Camden County Commission, who sets the budget. We worked as a team, in cooperation with many other elected officials and employees t
