"I’ve worked to build a close relationship with the other commissioners. We now have a Camden County Commission that works together as a team to make improvements to the operation of government. We’ve taken a hard look at how we do “the business of government”, to make improvements and enhance the quality of life of the citizens." - Greg Hasty

What the Commission Has Accomplished for You:
- As promised 4 years ago, we have new FEMA flood maps for Camden County. These new maps remove thousands of homes from the flood hazard area. This saves these homeowners millions of dollars in insurance premiums every year.
- As promised 4 years ago, The Camden County Commission has authorized a complete rewrite of the ULC of Camden County. We’re fixing many long-standing problems, and reducing the COST OF HOUSING. If I have anything to say, which I obviously do, we’ll eliminate the 25 FOOT WATERFRONT SETBACK.
- The COMMISSION authorized and accomplished the first significant raise of employee pay in 10 years, while ALSO improving the financial statue of the County.
- As a result of the improved financial condition of the county, we received the LOWEST INTEREST RATE available when we refinanced the BONDS to make a 4 MILLION DOLLAR REPAIR to our justice center.
- This commission authorized the hiring of the first PROFESSIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR, in the history of Camden County. These moves brought Camden County into compliance with state and federal law. Prior to 2015, the county’s 320 employees were served by employees with NO TRAINING.
- We’ve resolved all of the ongoing litigation with P & Z, saving hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars every year.
- This is the result of a lot of hard work by the entire Camden County Commission, who sets the budget. We worked as a team, in cooperation with many other elected officials and employees to make this happen. It is worth noting that Camden County was able to achieve this improved credit rating while also giving county employees the first significant pay raise in a decade.
